Hi! I'm Elena - the most useless member of Gotyettes hehe.
While listening to Gotye songs and interviews I fall upon
anabiosis due to that amazing voice, because I hardly can
understand a word from his fluent English all the same. But
luckily I seized my place in that group and just try to pull me
away of my laptop!
Ah, now from the beginning, I'm a Russian mum of two
wonderful kids (a boy Sasha and a girl Lisa). I met my husband
13 years ago, we fell in love with each other, and then he moved
to another city. We have been living separately for 4 years (I've
been studying at the University).
We were writing letters by snailmail, sending post cards, making
very rare phone calls (expensive!! 2000 year, no mobile phones,
no appropriate Internet, even no computer at my home). When
the number of the letters got over 300 and I filled the second
bag with these precious envelopes my studies were finished
and from that time I have been living in the coldest Russian city
Dudinka. That was how i got an allergy to letters :-)
When I first listened to Gotye (STIUTK) in the previous summer I was fascinated by his music! Then - hours of searching for the info and other records on the Internet. I kept telling my friends and hubby about Wally, but they weren't interested in music much! So I was like 'Aaarghh, aren't there people on earth to speak to!?! '.
And then Twitter! I wasn't using it at all! I had followed only @Gotye to read the news and surprisingly I got a follower (the first one:-)). A girl with magic password in the info: Gotye. That was our Joellen! Don't even know how I dared to speak to her but thanks god I found you girls!
Gotyettes helped me to get the information about Wally, the Basics, Tash and a lot of other great musicians. But what's more they became my real friends!
