When the second leg of the tour was announced, I emailed Wally again and he happily offered to set

me up with a press pass to photograph whichever concert I wanted. I picked Radio City because I thought it would be an incredible show at a historic venue. I was fortunate enough to speak to Wally after the show and after a brief discussion, he asked me to shoot again two days later at Williamsburg Park to be able to capture the entire show. (Most concert photographers are only allowed to shoot the first three songs.) It was an amazing experience that gave me the opportunity to capture so many fun moments between the band members.

I'm a Freelance Photographer and Graphic Designer based out of Milford, Connecticut. My passion for photography began at the age of twelve, after attending my first Jimmy Buffett concert. I bring this passion to every event I have the opportunity to cover. There's just as much intensity in a Pee Wee sports game as there is in a concert. The love and joy between a husband and wife is just as special as the adoration in a mother's eyes for her newborn child. It's my job to photograph these moments. And I love my job.
Similar to the majority of the fans, I stumbled across the video for THAT song. I was struck by imagery just as much as the melody and immediately downloaded whatever music I could find. I attended my first Gotye concert at the House of Blues in Boston, Massachusetts back in March of 2012 with a couple of my friends. I snapped a few photos and sent them along to what I thought was the general email for the band. Not even 15 minutes later, I received an email back from Wally himself, praising my photographs and asking if he could use them on his website.

We all found our way to Wally's music and it's undeniable that that alone has had an impact on our lives. On top of everything, I was given the opportunity of a lifetime. What I think is most special about Wally is his unparalleled generosity. He allowed me to photograph not one, but two shows based off of five pictures that I took. I'll never be able to thank him enough for that.

Audra's images are firm favourites amongst us. Maybe it's a 50:50 split of wonderful talent and being a true fan which makes her images so vibrant and full of energy. Anyone who has seen a live show would agree that Audra really captures the atmosphere on stage. There are so many more fantastic photographs that any Gotye fan needs to see on Audra's website. She has a huge library of photographs of other subjects too. Please check out her work, and leave her your comments. If you are local to Audra and are in need of a photographer, well now you know where to look ;)

Special thanks to Audra for letting us share her story and photographs here.
